We are a team of chief engineers who found ourselves designing and constructing planned maintenance systems on each vessel we joined.

We discovered that most vessels either lacked the time or budget to utilize an independent planned maintenance software, and, in many cases, the paid software systems were ignored because they lacked a user-friendly interface or aesthetic. With this in mind, Hold Fast Maintenance was started with the aim of programming an easy-to-use Excel template to bridge this gap. After discovering the application Notion, the system was soon migrated from Excel and enhanced into Notion databases using complex if functions to automate tasks that become due based on the current date and machinery hours.

We aim to provide the cheapest and most versatile solution for integrating a planned maintenance system on a vessel that is tried and tested. This enables engineers, officers and captains of all abilities to improve their vessel management and leave a meaningful impact on the vessels they work on as they progress in their careers.
